Diane Button
Diane R. Button is a founding partner of the Bay Area End-of-Life Doula Alliance in Northern California, and an instructor for the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate Program. She holds a Master's in Counseling Psychology, is INELDA-certified, and served as a board member of the National End-of-life Doula Alliance.
Diane is the author of several books and trainings, including The Letter Box, a memoir and legacy project which has been published in five languages. Her work has been featured on Connecting Point, The Hour of Power, and numerous TV and radio programs, inspiring others with a meaningful way to leave a legacy for loved ones. Diane also co-authored a book series with her three children entitled Special Delivery - A Cookbook for Food & Life. Her latest book, Dear Death, combines the insights gained from her research on "The Four Pillars of a Meaningful Life," with over a decade working with hospice and doula clients in their final days.
Diane is the creator and Director of Dream of Better World, a non-profit founded in 2008 with a two-fold mission: to support disadvantaged children and families around the world, and to inspire everyone to realize, "You're never too young, or too old, to make a difference!" Diane lives in Northern California with her husband, Mark, and her adorable rescue dog, Luna.
