Be a Part of Groundbreaking Psilocybin Research

Join Odyssey and researchers at the University of Pennsylvania in advancing the science of psilocybin therapy and help shape the future of mental health care.

We are partnering with researchers at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) to study the potential benefits of participating in psilocybin services.

If you choose a journey with Odyssey and would like to volunteer to take part in this research, you would:

  • Contribute to the broader scientific community and understanding for how psilocybin associates with beneficial mental health outcomes
  • Help guide Odyssey on considerations for how to improve psilocybin services
  • Help both Odyssey and the broader scientific community in the effort to better understand the effects of psilocybin
  • Engage in groundbreaking research and help to advance the scientific understanding that stands to benefit many individuals for years to come

What would you need to do?

1.
Review and sign an electronic informed consent form
2.
Review and sign an electronic release of information, which enables us to share limited information to UPenn researchers that you initially provide to us.
3.
Complete questionnaires (each take 15-20 min) according to the following timeline:
  • Prior to your scheduled psilocybin session
  • Immediately after your psilocybin session
  • 1 month after your psilocybin session
  • 6 months after your psilocybin session

Important considerations:

  • All information you provide will be confidential.
  • As a perk, you’ll get automated feedback based on well-validated measures. At the conclusion of each assessment completed, your scores on a ‘psychological flexibility’ measure will be shared with you.
  • Odyssey won’t have access to your research responses.
  • Participation in this study is completely voluntary and open to both retreat and private session participants.
