“I have always felt apprehensive about psychedelics, but I had read the emerging evidence that they can be deeply healing for trauma wounds. Susannah skillfully and compassionately held me in my fears about the medicine. My journey wasn’t easy, but Susannah’s wise, grounded, and loving presence allowed me the reassurance and confidence to trust myself and my heart in the process. While in the medicine, she felt like a protector or an angel for me. That was deeply reassuring. Then, after the journey, using her skills as a psychotherapist, she helped me make sense of what I had experienced and develop a new understanding and internal narrative about my trauma history. Afterwards, with her help, I experienced a sense of liberation from old patterns that had caused such suffering over the course of my life. Now, eleven months later, I look back on that pivotal journey with the medicine and feel gratitude for Susannah’s wise facilitation. She helped me trust the process, integrate insights, and ground my healing in a way that has been lasting.”
