It was an experience that you actually have to experience for yourself to understand it. I would say that it will be one of the most profound experiences of your life. I researched many different organizations for a psilocybin experience. My meeting with Gabe really helped put me at ease, as this was the first time I had ever considered an experience like this. The deciding factor was that it was combined with a grief retreat, and that was what I was specifically looking for. I'm so glad I chose to work with Odyssey. Both [facilitators] were knowledgeable in regards to the plant medicine and grief. It was very important to me to work with facilitators experienced in grief. They were compassionate, patient, and gave completely all of themselves to us. They truly cared about each attendee.
It was life changing. Full of support, compassion and great food too! Amanda and Caroline were incredibly kind and supportive and nurturing every step of the way. They put me at ease and made me feel like I had known them my whole life.
Experiencing the wonder of psilocybin with a group of people searching for insight and personal growth was incredibly enriching. I found the advance group preparation and all the integration work following mushroom experience to be as powerful as the plant medicine itself. I previously participated in a one-day group experience through another service center with the same facilitator. Odyssey's multiple-day retreat, focused on grief, offered a much fuller experience. Being able to talk through the experience and insights with other participants was invaluable.
