Testimonials

Real experiences you’ll relate to

Where to begin? First off, this experience goes beyond dosing psilocybin. The Odyssey family has been so thoughtfully composed of selfless and compassionate individuals all with different stories and backgrounds. From the initial interview through the last day of the retreat I was treated with honesty and kindness.

Sam, Private session
July 2025

The lookout lodge was the most beautiful place I had ever stayed. The vastness of the mountains and trees that this place allows you to take in are absolutely breath taking. I found myself sitting outside numerous times just in awe.  I got 8 new lifelong friends from all walks of life and age ranges by doing and sharing this amazing experience with them. The food they provide is so good and flavorful as well.

Tom, Group Retreat

This is an absolute must for the seekers in life. Anyone who feels they may have lost their way, needs the time to refocus themselves or shift or better understand themselves. What made things even better was the warm, welcoming and understanding nature of Odyssey’s staff. I loved the entire experience from start to finish.

This was the single most meaningful experience of my life and worth every penny. Odyssey is a human-centered organization that will change your life in ways you did not know were possible. Every step of the process made you feel that the organization goes above and beyond to help their clients.

Throughout the journey, I felt supported and guided, allowing me to explore my inner self in a way I had never experienced before. The integration sessions were particularly valuable, helping me to process my insights and apply them to my everyday life. I cannot recommend Odyssey highly enough for anyone seeking a transformative experience with psilocybin in a safe and nurturing environment.

Research and Evidence You Can Trust

Research
95% reported one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives

In 2006, Roland Griffiths and his team at Johns Hopkins published a seminal paper studying the effects of psilocybin in healthy volunteers. They found substantial and sustained positive effects, and that psilocybin was overwhelmingly safe when administered in a controlled setting. At a 14-month follow-up, 95% of the study participants ranked the experience as among the top five most meaningful experiences of their lives (Griffiths et al. 2008, 2011). This landmark study was key to launching the psychedelic renaissance.

Lasting Improvements to Well-Being

Ross et al. (2016) studied the effects of psilocybin on depression and anxiety in cancer patients, finding that “psilocybin produced immediate, substantial, and sustained improvements in anxiety and depression… improved spiritual wellbeing, and increased quality of life.” More than six months later, a majority of participants rated the experience as among the most personally meaningful and spiritually significant of their lives, and 87% reported increased life satisfaction or wellbeing due to the experience.

Large and Sustained Decreases in Depression

In a study of over 100 US adults, Raison et al. (2023) found that a single dose of psilocybin, administered with psychological support, resulted in rapid and sustained reductions in depressive symptoms for people suffering from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). The largest study of its kind to date, this Phase 2 Trial from the Usona Institute demonstrates the great potential of psilocybin-assisted therapy for treating depression.
